About Dare to Lead™
Brené Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Foundation – Brené Brown Endowed Chair at The Graduate College of Social Work. Brené is also a visiting professor in management at The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business. She has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy
The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable.
The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage-building skills through workshops, trainings, and coaching to help individuals, teams, and organizations move from armored leadership to daring leadership.
Leading through trust, values, resilience, & vulnerability
Meet Carrie Skowronski
Your Dare to Lead™ Facilitator
Diffuse. Circle back. Create clarity. I’ve been on the manager’s journey and worked with a variety of people. To say that difficult conversations require courage would be putting it mildly. That’s why I became a Dare to Lead™ Facilitator - I wholeheartedly believe that conflict is central to progress and that leaning into these conversations creates possibility for everyone involved.
Many leaders start this journey after completing CliftonStrengths or Activate with me - this program stacks seamlessly with that work. If you’re starting fresh, know that I’m here as your trusted advocate as you step into new self-awareness, uncover your own stories, and awaken the leader within you.
